We are now looking for a passionate and organised individual to join our expanding training team as a part time Training Officer.
We're looking for someone who:
Has extensive experience of working in social care and be looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to shaping children's future.
Has a good understanding of fostering.
Is passionate about supporting foster carers and improving outcomes for children in care.
Has experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating training or learning programmes.
Communicates confidently and builds positive relationships with carers and professionals.
Is highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Works collaboratively as part of a team but can also use their own initiative.
Is adaptable, creative, and committed to continuous learning and development.
Has good IT skills and is comfortable using digital platforms to deliver or coordinate training.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To help develop, co-ordinate and deliver a comprehensive programme of training for foster parents.
Support carers to develop their skills and meet their personal development goals.
Evaluate training impact, and adapt programmes to meet evolving needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
General
To meet with the Learning and Development Manager for supervision on a monthly basis to ensure compliance and performance.
To work within the policies and procedures of Family Fostering Partners, its custom and practice, and its administrative and management processes.
Maintain and develop current personal knowledge regarding the regulatory and good practice environment.
To ensure continued professional development and knowledge by attending training and actively participating in learning opportunities.
Role Specific
Arrange, promote and deliver programmes of training and other learning and development events that will meet identified training needs.
Employ a creative and blended approach to the design and delivery of training and development events, incorporating e-learning, classroom based and virtual delivery methods.
Ensure the post holder's knowledge and expertise remain current and are regularly updated to reflect changes in law, policy, and emerging best practices
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To use the systems in place to quality assure training and development events and to report on outcomes.
Report any concerns regarding a Foster Parent's behavior observed during training to the Learning and Development Manager.
Undertake any other duties as required by the Learning and Development Manager.
To work flexibly and be available to deliver occasional training outside of standard weekday working hours.
Fostering Partners ongoing development in involving children in their service delivery.
To bring to the immediate attention of the Fostering Manager, or any other appropriate authority, any matters judged necessary for example, child protection, or whistleblowing.
Growing the Organisation
To promote the reputation and services of Family Fostering Partners' by:
Professionally representing the agency in all direct contacts with Local Authority Social Services and any other relevant stakeholder.
Contributing to the development of promotional and marketing material.
If required, positively representing Family Fostering Partners at local and national events and forums.
Assisting in preparation and participation to any regulatory inspections carried out by CIW or OFSTED.
