Are you a data-driven leader with a passion for operational precision and continuous improvement? Thatcham Research is seeking a proactive and analytical Academy Performance & Assurance Team Leader to drive the performance, compliance, and scheduling excellence of our automotive academy.


This role offers variety, challenge, and the chance to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation in a dynamic and evolving industry. You'll be part of a small, supportive team that values knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

What you'll be doing




Joining our Repair Sector Services team, you'll be at the heart of academy quality & compliance - leading a team of 6 (2 receptionists and 4 administrators) and ensuring our training delivery meets both commercial and quality benchmarks. You'll:

Oversee course scheduling

to support 2m+ in annual revenue.

Lead monthly performance reporting

, enabling senior leaders to forecast and budget effectively.

Conduct internal audits

and support external inspections to ensure compliance.

Facilitate internal process reviews

and drive continuous improvement.

Enhance academy systems

and processes to improve learner experience and operational efficiency.

Manage learner progress data

and ensure accurate reporting across platforms.

Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:



Proven experience in

complex operational planning

and performance analysis. Experience

managing a small team

or desire to do so. Strong command of

Microsoft Office

, especially Excel, and the ability to learn new systems. Excellent

analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

. A proactive mindset for

data-driven decision-making

and process improvement. Previous experience in an

Education or Training

setting would be an advantage, but not essential.

When we work




Our standard working hours are

8:30 - 16:30

Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday -

8:30 - 15:45

How we work




We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration and therefore have a hybrid working model - you'll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least

two

days per week.
