What you will be doing...
Reporting to the Flight Deck Training Manager, the Training Planner is a multi-functional role able to administer all functions within the Crew Training department. Working closely with the Crew Planning and Crewing Departments whilst liaising directly with the crews themselves. This position plays a key role in ensuring the ongoing availability and development of aircrew across our operational bases to meet a continuously developing flying programme throughout the year.
Duties include but are not limited to;

  • To plan and roster recurrent, new starter and specialised training in a cost conscious and safe manner. Taking into account available resources and priority of training requirements whilst ensuring training adheres to CAA, regulatory and Company rules.
  • To issue course training plans to students and instructors via MINT, concurrent with roster publication ensuring all relevant information is clearly communicated.
  • Run regular electronic reports in Crew Manager and MINT to check for expiries and make sure all training has been rostered in a timely manner.
  • To manage external bookings for training venues and course providers avoiding excessive costs at all times ensuring resources are used effectively.
  • Responsible for monitoring all course absentees and assisting Advanced Crewing Colleagues in recovering in the live roster where applicable or replanning in the unpublished roster.
  • Keep a daily check on expiry events. Work closely with Crewing and Crew Planning to ensure crew members are prevented from flying without all regulatory training, licensing and associated paperwork in place and on record.
  • All other duties as directed by Management.
The successful candidate will have a logical and methodical approach. Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous, although full training will be given to the successful candidate. You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be a positive and supportive team member.
