Training Programme Director In Special Care Dentistry

Job Description

An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil the role of Training Programme Director for Special Care Dentistry across Yorkshire and the Humber. The successful applicant will be accountable to the Postgraduate Dental Dean via the Associate Postgraduate Dental Dean, they will play an important part in the direction of the Special Care training programme.



The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of postgraduate dental training programmes at this level. They will also have strong leadership and communication skills and be able to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.



The post will be available on the basis of a secondment arrangement to NHS England remunerated In line with TPD sessional payments ( - 0.5 PA / 2 hours per week.



All work undertaken is to be incorporated into the successful applicant's Job Plan.



Regional travel may be required for meetings and educational events.



Main duties of the role include:



Induction into the training programmes

Management of the ARCP process

Delivery of education

Involvement in recruitment

Managing and supporting trainees in difficulty

Appointment, training, support and management of their Educational Supervisor team

Attendance at DST Board and Strategy Planning meetings

Engage in annual appraisal of their role with the ADD
