Job summary - What to expect:



We are looking for a Training Technician who will be responsible for delivering manufacturing training in accordance with business compliance within production. The key objective of this role will be providing training, tests, certifications and re-certifications to manufacturing personnel whilst motivating and developing team members through training.



Essential functions and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


Identifying the needs of training and re-training, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements is understood by all team members and training targets are achieved as detailed by the Training Leader / Senior Shift Leader. To be responsible for health and safety awareness and compliance. To participate in process improvement projects. Providing training, re-training and guidance as required across all areas of the Silicone business. Prepare training material as is required and support in design and review of tests/questionnaires according to structure established. Acting as a point of link among the Shift / Team Leader and the Training Leader. Administering and updating training records on Agile. Being consistent in the training and effective use of the visual tools to provide training. To develop and maintain the training packs used to aid the training technicians.

What skills and experience should you have?



Proven experience within the business units manufacturing environment preferably with some previous training experience. Good numerical, verbal and literacy skills. IT Literate with practical understanding and knowledge of Microsoft applications. Knowledge of continuous improvement and 5s activities. Effective communication skills and the ability to convey information accurately consistently. The ability to plan your training in advance and to be able to adjust your plan at short notice if business needs require. Initiative - to be able to proactively identify improvements and communicate ways in which improvements can be made, in line with procedures A good knowledge of company Health & Safety. A practical approach to problem solving.

Work Environment:



The immediate work area is open plan with lots of moving equipment with team members in close proximity Controlled manufacturing environment with a clean room area with gowning procedure required e.g. all hair covered, no make-up and no heels The work, carried out over a 12-hour shift (8-hours for Lathing) is physically demanding and a significant proportion of the shift will require the member of staff to stand and be active Some of our work areas have a high level of noise. Where this is above prescribed limits, PPE is supplied and must be worn at all times
