About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, The TRAKWAY CREW CHIEF manages a crew of two people to review, assess and implement the delivery of portable roadway solutions to achieve the safe access and egress of our clients onto surfaces unsuitable for the size and weight equipment in use for their projects, with the aim of reducing any negative impact on the environment, both aesthetically and practically. The crew will share the cab together through the week in a twin sleeper. Hours of work on site will average 10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Liaise with customers to fully understand the needs of each portable roadway access project.

Risk assess projects in conjunction with our clients, considering the suitability of the natural terrain, obstructions, environmental impact, invasive species, risks to health and welfare (overhead power lines, etc.)

Ensure the serviceability of machinery supplied for the installation of portable roadways and to carry our operator led maintenance as dictated by DUKE Distribution and its Leadership Team.

Managing his/her crew, install the portable roadway in exact accordance with the defied project plan. Keeping in contact with the customer and Leadership Team at DUKE Distribution if the current plan cannot be safely executed.

To send daily progress reports via our job-based app to track and monitor timely progress of any projects, as well as reports to close off the successful completion of the project.

To ensure that the legal requirements of both EU driving regulations and local working time directive laws are upheld and adhered to.

Salary wise - the role starts own 43,000, rising to 45,000 in April

Nights out are paid at 30 per night and chance to earn bonus on top
