Location: Knutsford



38 hours, 4 days per week

(typical shift 2pm to 12:30am, Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday)

Salary :

32,731.98 per annum

The Role



We believe that what we do is a

privilege - supporting families and bringing their deceased loved ones into our care with the upmost dignity and respect. Being part of our Transfers team means that your role is to respectfully collect the deceased resting at our Knutsford location and bring them to our Andover premises and vice versa.

Key Responsibilities



To collect the deceased resting in Knutsford and bring them to our premises at West Way Andover To act as a Brand Ambassador for the company, ensuring that all activity undertaken reflects the company in a positive way and delivers exemplary customer service. When required support with collecting the deceased from mortuaries, place of death or containment, and bring them into our companies care in a manner which affords the deceased both respect and dignity, in line with the company's process and procedures and prevailing best practice. Record information in an accurate way and ensure that all processes and procedures are adhered to in a methodical and compliant manner. Use the Body Tracking Application to ensure 100% compliance with its utilisation. Keeping detailed records of progress of each task and / or stages via the QR codes and recording activity using the body tracking application. Ensuring the verification of the deceased's identity before conducting any removal. Encoffining the Deceased and identifying as applicable. Return ashes as tasked. Book deceased into the mortuary. Removing jewellery, medical devices, materials unsuitable for cremation: verifying both visually and via metal detector. As a representative of the company, ensure that you remain smart and well presented in the provided uniform at all times. Keep the company vehicle you always use in a good condition and presentable, ensuring that faults are reported, and routine maintenance is booked as necessary. Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy before commencing your journey and log or report any issues to your line manager. Drive within the law and be courteous to other road users to reflect the company in a positive way. Adhere and follow all company policies and procedures. Ensure that you adhere to the driver company rules, especially relating to manual handling, lone working, use of mobile phone, drugs and alcohol, vehicle care and maintenance, speed limits and driving with courtesy. Ensure that you adhere to the data protection and privacy company rules. Attend and complete all company training and development as required.

A strong team player but able to work autonomously, with a good understanding of what quality is, and passionate about delivering first class customer care. You will be organised, with strong accuracy, written and verbal skills. You will be willing to learn, willing to help others, and have a positive, friendly, flexible, can do attitude. You will also hold a clean driving licence and drive with care at all times.
