To lead the transformation and growth of the sales organization within the industrial automation and process solutions sector focused on sustainability and digitization. This role will be responsible for modernizing sales strategies, integrating digital tools, and driving customer-centric growth across complex industrial markets such as manufacturing, energy, water treatment, sheet manufacturing, Pharma and process industries leading to sustainable outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Transformation Leadership:
Develop and execute a sales transformation roadmap containing strategies that are aligned with industry trends such as Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing.
Champion the adoption of digital sales tools, CRM systems, and data-driven selling practices.
Develop strategies that focus on customer outcomes
Team Enablement & Coaching:
Upskill the sales team on consultative and solution-based selling tailored to industrial clients.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
Customer-Centric Strategy:
Redefine go-to-market strategies to focus on long-term value creation for customers in sectors like oil & gas, chemicals, food & beverage, and utilities.
Collaborate with vertical, engineering and product teams to align solutions with customer needs and operational challenges.
Process Optimization:
Streamline sales processes to reduce cycle times and improve win rates in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments.
Implement KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and transformation progress.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, project, vertical, service, and technical support teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Support strategic account planning and key customer engagements.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership experienced gained in transformation preferably in the automation industry or similar
Experience of delivering sales outcomes focused on sustainability and digitization
Deep understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and process optimization is preferred
Demonstrable experience of people and commercial change management programs
Demonstrated success in building high performing teams of both farmers and hunters
Visionary leader inspiring teams with a picture of success
Data led experience to drive value propositions to out come based sales
Experience with complex B2B sales cycles and technical solution selling
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and industrial sales tools (e.g., CPQ, SCADA integration platforms)
Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Business (MBA or technical master's preferred) or equivalent experience
5-10 years of experience in sales leadership within industrial automation or process industries operating at C Suite level
Proven track record of driving sales transformation and delivering measurable results
Knowledge of industry standards and technologies (e.g., PLCs, DCS, MES, IIoT platforms)
