Radcot Groundworks cover Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties serving house builders and commercial developers.

Summary

We are looking for someone who possibly has reached the age where they no longer want to be on the tools all day every day but still active enough to do a day or two here and there when required but mainly spend their time managing the yard and running the errands. This role is vital in ensuring the collection and transportation of materials and equipment to support our Groundworks projects across Oxfordshrie and the neighbouring Counties.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials and equipment. A basic understanding of Groundworks equipment. A basic understanding of Groundworks and Building Materials. Conduct vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues. Take responsibility for the vehicle and keep it clean. Follow all safety regulations and company policies. Assist with maintaining and organising the materials in the Yard. Assist with organising the Equipment in the stores. Basic knowledge of how to secure loads safely onto the vehicle. Support other groundworks activities as required, possibly site based on occassion. Operate a forklift in the yard to move, load/unload and organise materials and equipment.

Qualifications

Confidence/experience in driving 3.5t van or Transit sized vehicle. Basic knowledge related to vehicle maintenance. Valid UK driving license. Good communication skills. Advanatgaeous to have previous experience operating plant and/or forklift. Strong commitment to safety and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to locate addresses and locations using Google Maps. Advantageous to have experience and valid license to tow a Plant trailer upto 3.5t but not essential.

Pay: 160.00-190.00 per day

Expected hours: 25.5 - 42.5 per week
