The Transition Team play a key role in ensuring SYNLAB UK&I realises its growth objectives whilst supporting the laboratories and departments that make it a reality.



They support the Business Development Managers in managing an opportunity from the early stages right though to implementation. This involves mapping tests, creating transition plans, setting up new courier routes, implementing external IT connections and creating bespoke service wrappers e.g. request cards, user guides etc. The Transition team partake in customer visits scoping a customer's requirements to support with the implementation plan.



Once the opportunity has been successfully onboarded, post implementation, the Transition Team will work closely with the Customer Service department, to support with early contract teething issues and ensure they are dealt with promptly and effectively, with lessons learnt captured across SYNLAB UK&I and the quality of the service improved for all customers.



Business Development team plays a big part in ensuring the organisation is growing and is consistently building the reputation of the organisation.



The Transition Coordinator will be working alongside 2 other coordinators and the Business Development Managers across SYNLAB UK&I to ensure there is a smooth transition of onboarding new customers pre and post sales.



The key responsibility is to map customer tests to SYNLAB test codes and to establish costs within the process for the Business Development Managers to develop the bid for the customer. This role also supports the Transition Manager in the implementation phase and to support the customer during post sale transition in troubleshooting and resolving issues arising.



As the post will be field based, the successful candidate will be expected to work independently and have highly developed organisational skills to manage own workload remotely. Strong presentation skills are required as the candidate will be expected to work with the team to present new deals internally to the operational teams and gather any necessary information required to onboard new business. The details, accuracy and quality of information shared with the operational team will need to be well presented, therefore high attention to detail is also required.

A large part of this modernisation will involve moving 70% of our services to a purpose built, state of the art Hub laboratory in the heart of London. For now, the job you are applying for will be based at one of our hospital sites however, from 1 April 2024 our people and services will start to move to our Hub laboratory in Blackfriars, Southwark, SE1, with some work remaining in refurbished essential services laboratories across our hospital network, focusing on the rapid turnover of urgent tests. Main Responsibilities:



Working under the direction of the Transition Manager, supporting the Business Development team in building a credible bid response/ contract which meets customer needs and delivers profitable growth to Synlab UK&I.

Pre-sale



Working with Business Development Managers to ensure that Deal Tools capture new customer requirements and are complete and accurate. Ensure all customer's test data is mapped to SYLANB UK&I test codes accurately. Liaising with both customer and operational managers to clarify test information. Mapping test information, sample requirements, turnaround times and other required information within the deal tool to meet customer requirements. Collate volumes for deals in the later part of the sales funnel for capacity checks with laboratories and support services. Keep operational managers updated regarding capacity checks and test mapping. Carrying out resource capacity modelling when required and verify with the operational managers to establish the required resource to take on-board the new business and deliver the SLA agreed with customer. Support the Transition Manager to build project plans for larger opportunities. To build project plans for the smaller opportunities as and when required. Leading on meetings held every 2 weeks via Microsoft Teams or face to face to support the Transition Manager in post-sale transition support. Escalate issues where contradictions exist between customer/Business Development requirements and operational ability to deliver - and work with the Transition Manager to identify and deploy solutions to those issues. Working with Business Development Manager and logistics team to acquire the logistics cost for the deals in the pipeline. Ensuring that there is an up-to-date cost per test (CPT) and retail price (RT) to ensure the deal tools are accurate and updated. Liaising with finance where CPT and RP are unavailable by completing the required process. Working with Business Development Manager and IT team to obtain the IT for the customer.

Post-sale



Support the Transition manager in coordinating the delivery of the Implementation phase for new business take-on. Provide an excellent experience and training for the support and operational departments of new customers using our service. Suggest improvements to the service transition process.

Other



Ensure process documents are kept up to date and maintained. Identify and capture project issues and risks, ensuring timely resolution, detail, and escalation where appropriate. When required for customer service transition projects, assist financial budgeting information, and produce reports as required. Support with the maintenance of the 3 rd Party Test List.

The partnership provides diagnostics, testing and digital pathology for hospital trusts, GP services and other healthcare providers.



The hub is an eight-storey building, and we are working across 10 floors including the ground and lower ground floors. Synnovis' corporate function operates from the hub on the 8th floor, above the laboratories underneath. This is a total net internal area of almost 10,000m squared across the 10 floors.



Based in Blackfriars, it's less than a 5 minute walk from Southwark Tube or Blackfriars station and nestled closely to a vast array of entertainment and fabulous places to dine, relax and meet people.
