If so, then we have a great opportunity for you to join our Stopover Youth Homeless Service based in Pollockshaws, Glasgow.

Our

Stopover Service

are currently recruiting

a Relief Transition Mentor for nightshift

to join our dedicated team based in

Glasgow

. The service provides support to young people who are homeless. This is the perfect time for someone to join the service through a period of change and help support young people through trauma informed practices and empower young people, so their voice is heard. '

The Promise

' is that Scotland's children will grow up loved, safe and respected and as Transition Mentor will be expected to embrace this approach to the support you deliver

. You will work closely with young people aged between 16-25 exploring opportunities for them within employment, education and community integration. Some of the young people we support have experienced severe trauma in their young lives and you will provide advise and support to ensure they are safe and feel heard.

Working pattern: This is a relief contract. Enhanced rate of pay between 12pm and 7am.



What you will need to succeed/bring to the role



Compassion and kindness to support young people in their day to day lives. Enthusiasm and self-motivation. Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals. Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes. Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener. Good IT & communication skills. Proactive and skilled in building strong lasting relationships.
