We are looking for a talented Transport Administrator to join our team specialising in Logistics for our Transportation Department in Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Inbound / Outbound Schedule Maintenance: Ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of inbound shipments, optimizing logistics efficiency.
Processing Shipping Requests: Handling shipping requests via DHL, AFS, service orders, NMCR, and E4P, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery processes.
3PL Liaison Communication: Facilitating effective communication with third-party logistics providers, ensuring alignment and coordination.
Cummins Internal Liaison: Acting as a key point of contact within Cummins, fostering collaboration and information flow between departments.
Cost and Performance Analysis of 3PLs: Conducting thorough analysis of third-party logistics providers' cost and performance, driving improvements and cost savings.
Account Management and Supplier Liaison: Managing accounts and liaising with suppliers, ensuring strong relationships and efficient logistics operations.
Administrative Support and Data Management: Providing administrative support, conducting research, preparing reports, and managing data accurately to support departmental activities.
Business Improvement Projects: Participating in business improvement assignments and projects, contributing to the continuous enhancement of departmental processes and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Strong Organisational Skills: Efficiently manage inbound/outbound schedules and shipping requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Effective Communication Abilities: Maintain clear and proactive communication with 3PL providers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Analytical Skills: Conduct cost and performance analysis of 3PLs, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
Experience in Logistics and Account Management: Utilize your background in logistics, supplier liaison, and 3PL management to coordinate and optimize logistics processes.
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionised agreement.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
