Role Overview



We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join our logistics team based in Heckmondwike. The ideal candidate will provide full support to the transport team working withing a fast paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong communication and organisational skills to contribute to the efficiency of our logistics processes. The successful applicant will utilise their expertise to support our company's operational goals. You will build strong relationships with both HGV drivers and customers.

Working Hours



Monday to Friday rotational shifts 6am - 3pm / 10am - 7pm

Plus 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings

Duties



Support daily transport planning and scheduling. Process delivery paperwork, PODs, and driver documentation. Be the first point of contact via phone and email for customers and drivers. Maintain accurate transport records and documentation. Assist with tachograph and driver hours administration. Handle transport-related queries, delivery timelines and resolve issues promptly. Liaise with drivers, planners and internal departments. Working within a busy palletised freight network Provide support with compliance. Ensure procedures align with company policies and legal requirements.

Essential Experienc

e

Strong administration and customer service skills Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders effectively Previous experience within the logistics or transportation industry Good knowledge of the working time directive and driver regulations Strong IT skills and some knowledge of Transport Management Systems Ability work within a fast paced environment Knowledge of pallet networks

Desirable



HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence Fork Lift Truck Licence
Salary 28,000 - 30,000 per annum dependant on experience
