Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail oriented
Transport Administrator
to support our transport and logistics operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our transport department by managing documentation and customer communication. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Scheduling:
Coordinate and schedule transport routes for deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
Documentation:
Prepare customer delivery confirmations and maintain records for the transport operation.
Communication:
Liaise with drivers, and customers to ensure smooth communication regarding transport schedules and delivery instructions.
Compliance:
Ensure all transport activities comply with legal requirements, including health and safety regulations and transportation laws.
Data Entry & Reporting:
Update transport databases, generate reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency.
Customer Service:
Handle customer inquiries related to deliveries.
Support the Team:
Provide general administrative support to the logistics and transport management team as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in an administrative or transport-related role (logistics, distribution, or fleet management) is preferred but not essential.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of transport regulations and best practices is a plus.
