The Role:

We are looking for an experienced

Transport and Distribution Manager

to oversee the day-to-day activities of our delivery network. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in logistics or courier services, and a passion for operational efficiency and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of parcel distribution and delivery Lead and motivate drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff Monitor delivery performance, KPIs, and service quality Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and growth Handle customer complaints and implement service improvements Manage schedules, staffing levels, and route optimisation

Requirements:

Proven experience in logistics, courier, or delivery services Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve quickly Proficient with logistics software and Microsoft Office Understanding of UK road transport laws and regulations Flexible, hands-on, and highly organised UK full driving licence with at least one year experience in driving van No less than 6 points on driving licence
