We are a well-established manufacturing business with our own small transport fleet, supported by external courier services. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced
Transport Coordinator
to help ensure the smooth, compliant, and efficient running of our transport operations.
The Role
You will play a key role in coordinating our in-house fleet and liaising with our external couriers. You'll focus on compliance and the day-to-day management of vehicle movements, ensuring that all transport activities meet regulatory and company standards.
While training will be provided in our specific routing and planning systems (our operation involves minimal multi-drop work), you'll need to bring strong knowledge of transport compliance and a solid understanding of the transport industry.
About You:
You will have solid experience within the transport or logistics industry, with a strong understanding of transport compliance, vehicle maintenance requirements, and driver regulations. Holding a
Transport Manager CPC qualification
is essential to help us maintain our Operator's Licence and uphold our compliance standards. You'll be organised, proactive, and confident in communicating with drivers and colleagues at all levels. A keen eye for detail, a methodical approach to documentation, and a commitment to ensuring all transport activities run safely and within legislation are key. You'll also be comfortable working independently within a small, friendly team and adaptable to the specific needs of our manufacturing operation, with training provided on our internal routing and systems.
Responsibilities

Liaise daily with drivers, ensuring clear communication and smooth operational flow.
Coordinate collections and deliveries with both in-house vehicles and external couriers.
