Transport coordinator position now available at an expanding logistics company.

After experiencing solid growth throughout the last 9 years including the acquisition of a regional competitor, Marshall's Logistics is looking for a transport coordinator to work alongside the existing traffic team to assist with day-to-day traffic operations. This role has great progression potential for those looking for a long-term challenge, with direct training working alongside the directors on a daily basis.

Candidate requirements

:

Have experience within a transport/logistics environment. Be a driven individual with a can-do mindset - having the ability to juggle & prioritise multiple tasks in a fast pace environment is a must. They must be comfortable working with colleagues, customers, third party subcontractors, and management. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Be computer literate and have familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook - this is a necessity. Training will be provided for company specific software. 3PL experience is welcomed but not essential, full training will be provided with ongoing development. The candidate must be motivated & take pride in their work.

Details of the role:



The role will report directly to the head of operations and combined with existing personnel will be responsible for the assignment of up to 100+ loads per day.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 0800-1700 with an hour lunch break.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:

Booking jobs with customers and keying into system Assigning loads to subcontractors Negotiating rates with customers & suppliers. Managing customers' needs through good operational performance along with live status updates as required, assisting any queries and any other reporting required. Dealing with any issues that may arise with drivers / subcontractors. Planning and organising of driver's daily runs. General office administrative duties to support traffic department.

Pay: 25,000.00-34,000.00 per year

Schedule:

8-hour shift Monday to Friday
Ability to commute:

Colchester, CO3 4QX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
Experience:

Industry knowledge required. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word experience required. Live daily training will be provided continuously, from day one, whilst working with experienced industry experts.
