Location: Daventry (Crick) - DIDC2
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift pattern: Rotational - 42hrs per week - 4 on 4 off

Role Purpose:

  • Ensure safe and efficient running of the day to day Transport Operation
  • Day to day management of drivers
  • Day to day management of resource allocation and plan adherence and execution
  • Delegate for Transport Shift Manager in their absence.
  • Ensure vehicle and driver Legal Compliance is adhered.
Accountabilities:
  • Support Transport Manager to ensure operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of operational KPI\'s
  • Support Transport Manager to ensure effective team management including planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet operational requirements
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policy / processes
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and processes
  • Process paperwork and operate IT systems as required
  • People Management and Team Leadership in line with the defined business values

Requirements:
  • Experience of working within a supply chain environment - essential
  • Experience of busy Transport Environment and related computer systems - essential
  • Experience of Driver Management
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written) - essential
  • Proactive and focused
  • High School/Secondary Education
