Then Evri just might have a great opportunity for you to join the team as a Transport Optimisation Analyst. We are looking for a Transport Optimisation Analyst to join our Van Management Team and help us elevate our van network operations across our Out of Home network (OOH) and TriSmall to Medium Enterprise (SME) collection activities. As a Transport Optimisation Analyst you will collaborate closely with our Depot Transport Planning and Performance teams to identify and deliver optimisation initiatives that boost efficiency and reduce costs. You'll play a key role in deciding when collections should be insourced, setting targets, and managing SLAs to ensure service excellence.

  • Analyse operational reports on routes and drivers to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Reporting & Analytics to pinpoint under-utilized routes and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Test new routes and initiatives with Depot Transport Planning to enhance cost per unit (CPU) and service quality.
  • Monitor and challenge depot and third-party performance against KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement efficiency solutions across the van network to reduce customer claims.
  • Attend monthly Depot Area Manager meetings to review performance and drive accountability.
  • Work closely with Planning and Depot teams to design new or revised routes, including peak period planning.

We are looking for:
  • Proven experience in logistics, preferably in a van-based environment.
  • A Strong background in optimisation, cost improvement, and working in a target-driven setting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into operational solutions.
  • Experience managing projects and influencing multiple stakeholders, providing a proactive, hands-on approach to driving change and improving processes.
  • Previous experience as a Data Analyst or similar role is preferred.
  • The right candidate will likely only have some of the following technical skills & experience (listed is our current software solution): ExData visualisation tools PowerBI and manipulating data (Python / Excel / VBA / SQL / Spark), Analytical models (Python: SciKitLearn, Imblearn, Prophet, XGBoost, ExtraTrees, Kmeans Clustering), Web Scraping (Python: Selenium, Chrome driver, BeautifulSoup) and understanding of Databases (Oracle / SAP Hana / AWS).
