Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Transport Planner / Administrator to join our team.

Previous experience in Transport Planning/Administration or Logistics is preferable but not mandatory as you will be joining a well established team who have the necessary skills and experience to fully train you to deliver a first class transport and logistics service to our customers.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective planning of transportation routes and logistics as well as attributed to the business. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team.

Duties



Develop and implement transport plans that meet operational requirements. Analyse data to determine optimal transport routes and schedules. Coordinate with drivers, clients, and other departments to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of transport activities using computerised systems. Provide clerical support including data entry and administrative tasks as required. Manage communications effectively through phone etiquette and professional correspondence. Prepare data reports for clients.

Requirements



Degree and Higher Education candidates are encouraged to apply Good computer skills and keen to learn our Transport Management System (Mandata Software) Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on phone etiquette. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Summary



As a member of our Transport Planning Team, you will assist with coordinating logistics and and general haulage operations to ensure efficient transportation processes.

Responsibilities



Manage logistics and supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods. Utilize Microsoft Office and Excel for data analysis and reporting. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues. Collaborate with team members to enhance communication and leadership within the department. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to transport planning activities. Assist in driving initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
