As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Transport Planner to join our team in Barnsley.
Role Overview:
As a Transport Planner at One Beyond, you will play a key role in planning and optimising our transportation operations. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our transport activities are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with our commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Planning & Coordination:
o Develop and implement transport plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods across the UK.
o Analyse and optimise existing transport routes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
o Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth transport operations.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
o Collect, analyse, and interpret transport data to identify areas for improvement.
o Prepare regular reports on transport performance, including metrics and KPIs.
o Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement transport improvements.
Sustainability & Compliance:
o Ensure all transport operations comply with relevant regulations and environmental standards.
o Support the implementation of sustainable transport practices in line with One Beyond's goals.
Stakeholder Management:
o Collaborate with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams to maintain effective communication and resolve any transport issues.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Project Management:
o Assist in managing transport-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
o Work alongside cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in transport planning, logistics, or a similar role.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
Knowledge of UK transport regulations and sustainability practices is an advantage.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
