ABOUT THE ROLE

NYA & Sons Trans Ltd is seeking an experienced

Transport Planner

to join our growing logistics team in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will take ownership of planning and coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries are efficient, timely, and compliant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled planner to make a real impact within a dynamic team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and manage daily delivery and collection routes Schedule and communicate with drivers effectively Monitor vehicle movements and resolve operational issues Work with customers to ensure smooth deliveries Update transport systems and maintain accurate records Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures Support the transport planning team with operational improvements Plan routes across

Basingstoke, Hampshire, and surrounding areas

Use local and regional roads including

M3, A33, A339, and A30

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience in transport planning or logistics Strong organisational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities IT literate; experience with TMS software is advantageous Knowledge of Basingstoke and surrounding UK areas is preferred Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
