Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Transport Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our operations -- handling customer enquiries, securing new work, preparing quotes, planning vehicle and driver schedules, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing accurate and competitive pricing
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers -- people buy from people
Plan and allocate jobs efficiently using available vehicle and driver resources
Monitor ongoing jobs and support drivers throughout the day
Ensure jobs are completed on time and meet customer expectations
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and drivers
Stay calm and focused in a fast-moving environment
Maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, and follow-through
Essential Skills & Qualities
Strong numeracy and commercial awareness -- confident with pricing and cost control
Methodical and detail-oriented, with a problem-solving mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively under pressure
A genuine team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Must have experience in HGV transport planning
Comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
Positive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused
