Transport Planner

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support in managing and planning driver delivery schedules and routes, assisting them with directions and planning to help ensure deliveries are made safely and on time.
Support the day-to-day running of logistics operations.
Communicate effectively at all levels, with drivers, customers and colleagues, reporting directly to the operations manager and compliance manager to ensure smooth day to day operation.
Adhere to compliance and safety regulations and standards.
Maintain delivery documents and generate reports.
Take part in an
on-call rota
(with
extra pay
) to support operations outside normal hours.
To drive the operational agenda, policing the standards and expectations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE:

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset, ability to make decisions
Proficient in using transport software and tools (Full training will be given)
Knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards and drivers hours/ current regulations (Full training will be given)
Ability to work under pressure. This will be a great opportunity for somebody to progress in the transport sector.
Fast paced, strong customer service skills required.
SHIFT:
40 Hour Week - Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00. You will be expected to work on call once trained up, usually after 4-8 weeks depending on the individual.
HOLIDAY:
28 Days Pro Rata Including 8 Days Bank Holidays
