Due to continued expansion, Currie Solutions are recruiting for a

Transport Planner - European (Day Shift)

to join our dynamic team in Ecclefechan.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between various departments, sub-contractors, and customers, facilitating the smooth flow of data and information across the business.

As a Transport Planner, you will also manage key relationships with sub-contractors, ensuring they deliver the expected service levels and support our operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and allocate vehicles, areas, and shifts in line with operational requirements. Oversee the efficient flow of data between departments, sub-contractors, and customers, ensuring information is shared promptly and accurately. Maintain an accurate Traffic Management System (TMS), ensuring both pricing and costs are up-to-date. Route and schedule vehicles and drivers in the most cost-effective manner while meeting customer time requirements. Communicate relevant operational information to drivers in a clear and timely manner. Handle telephone inquiries from drivers and customers, escalating to the appropriate department when necessary. Accurately input and update data in the Traffic Management System, ensuring all fields are properly completed. Monitor and support drivers to ensure compliance with tachograph regulations.
