Transport Planner - High & Heavy Division

28,000 - 35,000 (depending on experience)

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

We're looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our busy High & Heavy Division, coordinating the movement of vehicle transporters and plant equipment across the UK.

This is a key role within a specialist logistics operation where precision, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential. You'll be part of a supportive team that works together to ensure every movement is carried out safely, compliantly, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and schedule the transport of vehicle carriers and heavy plant machinery Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and third-party suppliers Monitor live transport activity and adapt plans where necessary Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and safety standards Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using transport systems and software

What We're Looking For

Experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role Strong understanding of HGV and plant movements Good working knowledge of UK transport regulations and geographical routing Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with transport planning software (desirable but not essential)
