Overview of role
The Planner supports the Senior Planner in managing logistics and distribution activities within a specific geographical area. This role focuses on executing daily vehicle planning, stock availability checks, and order fulfilment.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing vehicle movements and deliveries.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate internal transfers.
Ensure driver competency and training records are maintained, up to date, and aligned with operational and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate records and support FIAS compliance.
Communicate with hauliers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues.
Support the Senior Planner in achieving operational goals.
Collaborate with Customer Service Specialists on Irish bulk order input and speciality product distribution.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Any other duties as reasonably required.
Qualifications and skills
Experience in logistics or distribution support.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
High level of numerical understanding.
Proficiency in Excel and IT systems.
A-level education or equivalent.
Full UK driving licence.
This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (with some flexibility with working hours).
