Working as part of our busy Transport team, you will be focused on maximising vehicle utilisation while issuing drivers with clear daily working instructions to keep everything moving smoothly. You'll plan efficient routes that meet customer delivery windows, ensuring full compliance with Working Time Directive and current driver hours legislation. Each week involves analysing driver hours and working time data before delivering constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. You'll maintain and monitor our live Traffic Management System, reacting quickly to any changing situations to minimise delays and protect service performance. Keeping a close eye on vehicle movements, you'll create practical solutions to meet customer needs, working closely and proactively with other departments to ensure excellent customer service. You'll also oversee the repair and maintenance of driver electronic devices within the Transport Management System to ensure everything stays operational and efficient.

Skills for Success
Essential for the role:
Previous experience within a FMCG environment (preferably at least 12 months).
Previous admin experience.
Competent in use of Microsoft Office programmes-particularly Excel.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a busy transport planning role is not essential, but you must be able to demonstrate an aptitude to learn new processes.

It is desirable if you have:

Hours of Work:
There are two different shift patterns available in this role:
Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm and Sunday 6.30am-3pm, job to finish.
Monday-Thursday, 3pm-11pm and Sunday 12 (noon)-8pm, job to finish.
