Job description

We are looking for a new team member to assist with all aspects of transport planning in our Head office at Port Clarence. This will involve for example but not limited to:

Plan, schedule, and allocate bulk vehicle loads in line with customer requirements. Monitor live transport activity and respond to any issues or delays to minimise service disruption. Ensure compliance with transport legislation, including driver hours and vehicle maintenance schedules. Liaise with customers to provide updates and resolve any delivery or collection issues. Optimise routing and backhauling opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Maintain accurate records of orders, delivery documentation, and transport data using TMS software's. Support the wider logistics team with continuous improvement initiatives.

The job will suit an individual with experience in the transport industry, and holding a CPC would be an advantage but not a minimum requirement as we can offer training.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate good communication skills, great attention to detail, is IT literate, and has a flexible can do attitude.

You would be joining the team working in our office from Industrial Chemicals Ltd, Port Clarence in Middlesbrough. We have a friendly and supportive culture where all opinions are valued. We work hard, but every day is different and very rewarding.

Salary: 26,000.00-30,000.00 per year
