Job Description

The main role involves planning local collections, deliveries and trunking of palletised freight on our Pallet Network, working closely with our warehouse and UK traffic teams, safely, efficiently and in full compliance with legal requirements.

Key responsibilities:

??Plan local daily collections, deliveries and night trunking for palletised freight (Mon-Fri) using VIGO TMS (traffic management software) Must have extensive knowledge for the SA post code area ??Manage the electronic information transfer between the TMS and pallet network ??Monitor drivers progress through the day with use of Fleet view and Vigo software packages, taking corrective action when problems/delays occur ??Ensure drivers adhere to company procedures and provide guidance and assistance when necessary ??Comply with customer delivery requirements whilst ensuring vehicles operate efficiently ??Liaise with customers, attending to special requirements ??Resolve problems on deliveries such as damages, late arrivals ??Promote effective, positive communication with drivers, dispatch, warehouse, customers and pallet network Forklift experience required for loading / unloading of vehicles. Working hours will be between. 1100-2100 but must be flexible due to the nature of the job, and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings HGV License desirable Class C+E (Class 1)
Salary negotiable depending on experience
