Transport Planner

What you'll be doing:

Route Planning:

Design efficient delivery routes considering distance, traffic, and deadlines.

Driver Management:

Manage and support drivers on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations.

Load Coordination:

Ensure proper load distribution and vehicle capacity with warehouse staff.

Fleet Management:

Oversee vehicle maintenance and utilisation.

Delivery Monitoring:

Track progress and provide updates to customers.

Customer Service:

Handle inquiries and ensure satisfaction.

Cost Management:

Optimise resources and reduce operational costs.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards.

Data Analysis:

Analyse performance data and identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration:

Coordinate with warehouse, drivers, and other teams for smooth operations.

What you'll bring:

Experience in working within a busy transport operation. Experience in planning multi drop groupage routes. Knowledge of fleet operations and driver hours needed. Flexibility with working hours and shifts is required. A collaborative and team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic. A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
