Day-to-Day Expectations:



As a Transport Planner at We Deliver Cars, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective transport plans, coordinating logistics, and optimizing the supply chain to meet customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning cost-effective and efficient vehicle movements for plated drivers. Managing and tracking vehicle deliveries to meet customer deadlines. Communicating with internal teams, and drivers to resolve logistical issues. Monitoring live transport operations and responding quickly to unexpected delays, breakdowns, or last-minute changes. Using logistics software and databases to maintain accurate records and optimize operations. Allocating jobs to drivers while considering client requirements such as time constraints, mileage restrictions, and delivery windows. Working closely with recruitment to ensure efficient driver onboarding and training. Providing updates to Customer Service regarding any transport issues or delays. Re-planning deliveries as needed due to failures, aborts, or unexpected obstacles. Supporting and assisting drivers to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and implement optimized logistics plans to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Maintain detailed and up-to-date transport schedules. Communicate with drivers to ensure smooth operations and address any in-flight issues. Monitor transport performance and adjust plans as necessary to meet service-level agreements. Balance driver workloads, ensuring compliance with working time regulations and pay structures. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance service efficiency. Ensure all planned jobs are allocated and completed as scheduled. Work proactively to source additional drivers when required to meet demand. Handle emergency situations such as breakdowns and reschedule deliveries accordingly. Perform any additional duties as reasonably requested by management.

Effective communication skills to liaise with drivers, and internal teams. High attention to detail and accuracy in planning and tracking vehicle movements. Ability to handle real-time logistical challenges and implement quick solutions. A proactive and adaptable approach to managing transport operations.
