We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising transportation routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations. Responsibilities
Develop and optimise transportation routes to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries
Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and clients to schedule pickups and deliveries
Monitor transport operations using relevant IT systems and software programmes such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word
Analyse logistical data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and service quality
Maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, and delivery documentation
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to resolve any issues or delays promptly
Ensure compliance with relevant driving regulations and health & safety standards
Lead or assist in organising logistics projects or process improvements as required
Requirements
Proven experience in management, logistics, or supply chain roles
Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT literacy in general
Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Customer service orientation with the ability to handle queries professionally
Leadership qualities with the capability to manage teams or coordinate multiple stakeholders
Strong analytical skills for data assessment and problem-solving
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Computer literacy essential for managing scheduling systems and logistical software applications
