In this role you will oversee and lead the planning team and ensure efficient & effective plans are created daily. Assist the Collections Administrator(s) and other members of the planning team in their daily duties and support their processes and development. You will be responsible for the Transport Operations sites daily vehicle planning, ensuring all jobs are planned and allocated for the following days plan. You will also be required to assist the operations team as part of your duties as a Team Leader. These duties would include problem solving, moving and distributing work when required and network communications with other depots when needed. This role is to work 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday, with the requirement to cover holidays and other hours as required.

Main responsibilities:



Complete efficient and effective routes for the following day Managing customer/network orders and prioritisation based on customer requirements Support the Planning team with their daily duties and support with their training and development Assist in supporting with day-to-day driver, warehouse and customer queries and issues Give a detailed night shift plan and handover for the night shift and the following morning's shift to allow smooth operations throughout the day Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and productivity of the operation Ensure compliance to all legislation for Health & Safety is upheld

Profile:

Experience working in a transport operation and knowledge of the logistics industry Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes to meet the demands placed on Miniclipper by our customers Able to lead from the front and develop the members of your team Strong communicator and great customer service skills Calm under pressure and good at problem solving Innovative, forward thinking, able to think 'outside the box' and generate new opportunities for improvement Flexible and a team player A positive attitude to work and willing to contribute to an enjoyable workplace environment Committed and dedicated to the role and providing the best possible service for the customer Experience of with various IT systems and a quick learner to be able to learn new systems
Technical competencies:

Previous administrative and transport planning experience is preferred Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Adaptable IT skills Experience in using TMS or route planning systems is preferrable Paragon planning software experience is preferred but not essential
