DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:


Supporting in providing a fully compliant operation, operational expertise, ensuring the transport operation is efficiently run within the agreed cost perimeters and ensuring a first class service is maintained to achieve the contracts objectives and meet the customers demands. Achievement of targets, deliveries on time, maintaining team morale, achievement of personal development objectives and remaining compliant. Managing x8 controllers, up to x300 drivers including sub-con, agency, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of a team; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development. Accountable for the delivery of all aspects of the shift operation ensuring the delivery of efficient and customer focused service. Analyse reports against KPI targets and advise on action to improve results. Fostering an environment that promotes a culture of Continuous Improvement, sharing of ideas and best practice.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

Transport experience within a Supply Chain or Logistics experience essential. Management experience. IT literate with MS packages. Tachomaster, Microlise, Key2 experience highly advantageous. Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
