We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee our logistics operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management of transportation activities, maintaining high standards of customer service, and leading a team of drivers and logistics personnel. Duties

Manage daily transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety regulations. Drive initiatives to improve logistics processes and enhance operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to coordinate transportation schedules and resolve any issues that arise. Oversee the maintenance of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. Utilise computer literacy skills to manage logistics software and maintain accurate records of transportation activities. Provide leadership and guidance to the transportation team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development. Implement customer service best practices to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Prepare reports on transportation metrics and performance for management review.

Experience

Candidates should have prior experience in a supervisory role within the transportation or logistics sector. Familiarity with office software such as Outlook is essential, along with a proven ability to manage teams effectively. Strong organisational skills are required to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. A background in customer service will be advantageous, as well as experience in driving or managing logistics operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 15.06 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
