Transport Supervisor (Nights)

Location: Runcorn
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday - Nights
Salary: Up to 35,000 DOE

WS Specialist Logistics, part of WS Transportation, is a leader in UK logistics with a focus on service and operational excellence. We're looking for a Transport Supervisor to oversee our night operations, with a strong focus on transport planning and efficient fleet management.

Please note ... Experience in Transport Planning is essential for this role

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deploy vehicles effectively, ensuring route optimisation and cost efficiency Monitor driver schedules, ensuring legal compliance Respond to real-time issues, re-route journeys as needed Conduct driver briefings/debriefings and maintain clear communication Ensure smooth shift handovers and accurate reporting Liaise with Transport and Site Managers on vehicle status and ETAs Manage breakdowns and out-of-hours support

Requirements:

Proven experience in transport planning or supervision Strong understanding of UK transport legislation Confident using transport systems and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Organised, self-motivated, and calm under pressure
