We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of at the , Royal Air Force (RAF) , United Kingdom.
What will be your primary role?
The purpose of this role is to provide information and advice to military and civilian personnel regarding their entitlements for shipment and storage of personal property (e.g household goods, unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles and special items such as mobile homes, and large boats).
Movement of personal property can be either domestic or international.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising all authorized military and civilian employees of their entitlements for shipment and storage of personal property and privately owned vehicles, including specialist items, to domestic and overseas locations.
You will be responsible for preparing and processing applications for transportation or storage of a wide range of personal property, and privately owned vehicles, including special items, of authorized military and civilian members. You will also plan and process Do-It-Yourself (DITY) incentive moves for payment through the local finance office, whilst performing other clerical and administrative tasks in support of the transportation work.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the full range of transportation operations as related to the shipment of personal property
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the instructions, regulations, directives, local operating procedures, governing entitlements, and shipment of personal property.
Ability to analyze, correlate and evaluate transport data.
Ability to respond to a range of questions from Government agencies, activity personnel, customers, commercial carriers and/or others regarding the shipment and storage of household goods.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
What are the conditions of employment for this role?
1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Overtime may be required.
5. You may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
6. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
7. Typing and computer operation is performed, however, a qualified typist is not required
8. Hours of work: MON- FRI 0800-1600 Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible working policies.
