Encon Insulation & Nevill Long is a leading UK distributor of insulation, drylining, interior systems, roofing, passive fire protection and construction products.

We are looking for a Transport/Warehouse Supervisor in Northampton.

The role will involve:

Planning and organising the transport function efficiently and safely Motivating employees and monitoring performance Adapts approach/style of interaction depending on the people and/or situation as appropriate Listens to staff concerns, persuades and influences others to gain buy in and trust Conducts regular team meetings and one to ones with supervisors/teams to motivate and coach staff to help them reach objectives. Conducts investigations as part of the disciplinary process as required Takes responsibility for resolving issues with orders and customer deliveries Ensures staff provide customers with a high level of service Communicates KPI's and motivates staff to meet and exceed them Arranges vehicle repairs, as notified on defect reports, with either leasing company or garage Identifies and raises awareness of staff training needs Identifies and reviews legal criteria that relate to Health & Safety, environmental and transport legislation e.g. Road Traffic Acts. Ensures that all staff are made aware of legislation Ensures that the team comply with legislation and company policies and procedures Raises issues that may impinge on health and safety requirements and ensures that they are rectified immediately Ensures knowledge is up to date on legislation related to the transport of goods Investigates accidents and generates reports Any other duty reasonably requested by management.
