This role has the following aims:

To improve the overall mental health and wellbeing of young women, girls and non-binary young people;

To increase knowledge of mental health and wellbeing and improve mental and emotional literacy and resilience, for young women, girls and non-binary young people and their families and wider communities;

The project will offer trauma-informed, restorative and resilience-based focused interventions to address trauma and reduce the impact of poor mental health. The work will be targeted, albeit not exclusively, towards racialised communities and young people experiencing poverty.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. 2. To monitor the progress of service users and service delivery by collecting evaluation data at regularly determined intervals, including wellbeing assessments and satisfaction surveys.

3. To meaningfully engage with local communities, with the aim of further supporting the mental health and wellbeing of community members and raise awareness of available trauma-informed support.

4. To work in partnership and communicate effectively with a range of partners, such as those in education, social services, health and probation services and other support services.

5. To produce and deliver presentations, workshops and training at conferences and other events to promote the project and its services, to share learning from the project and to influence key stakeholders on policy development and funding opportunities to support the sustainability of the project.

6. To ensure all work is effectively recorded and monitored in order to facilitate planning, achieve outcomes and contribute to performance management on an individual, project and organisational basis, using the information to produce high quality statistics and reports as required.

7. To take responsibility, with support and direction from the project coordinator, for the following:

a. Managing a caseload of young people, that will include service delivery planning, reviewing case progress, determining case closure and recording client-data using an online database.

b. Complying fully with safeguarding procedures in line with Mind in Gwent's safeguarding policies.

c. Complying fully with up to date GDPR requirements including the storing of all physical evaluation data securely in locked cabinets and ensuring electronic data is password protected.

d. Adhering to and promoting Mind's Trauma-informed Principles for children and young people.

e. Contributing to the production of evaluation reports and other publicity material about the project to distribute and publicise to key stakeholders, local, regional and national forums.
