What You'll Be Doing:
Accounts Payable:
o Ensuring that the procure to pay process is well co-ordinated and controlled.
o Dealing with invoices and credit notes - ensuring correct coding, treatment in the accounting system and authorisation.
o Maintaining accurate records.
o Preparing / reviewing supplier statement reconciliations and assisting with month-end processes.
o Ensuring timely payments to suppliers
o Reviewing new supplier account requests
o Ensuring enquiries from suppliers are dealt with professionally and efficiently
Accounts Receivable:
o Ensuring accurate and complete data is maintained in relation to all our customers and customer contracts
o Co-ordinating the preparation and distribution of sales invoices to private funders
o Dealing with credit notes and refunds
o Processing receipts ensuring correct treatment in the accounting system and other systems.
o Ensuring enquiries from residents and families are dealt with professionally and efficiently
Treasury:
o Supporting the Finance Manager with Treasury, including checking bank details, preparing payments, analysing bank transactions, and credit card management.
Supporting the Finance Manager and wider team with ad hoc finance tasks as required.
Helping to ensure the finance team provides a great service to the business and our customers and suppliers, whilst maintaining agreed financial control boundaries.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a solid background in finance. The ideal candidate will have:
AAT qualification (Level 3 or higher) OR qualified by experience.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounts or finance role, preferably within the healthcare or care services industry, though this is not essential.
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
