Job Description


As a Treasury Assistant, you will be contributing to Mainstay\'s vision to be recognised as the market leading provider of services to the UK\'s property sector. Mainstay is a professional service organisation, that delivers business expertise and service across the property industry.

Main Purpose of Job

  • Carrying out bank reconciliations for trust bank accounts and providing support in Estates
  • Finance related matters.
  • Position in Organisation
  • This role reports to the Client Bank Reconciliation Team Leader as part of the wider Estates
  • Finance Department.
Main Responsibilities
  • Daily reconciliation of client bank accounts within agreed deadlines.
  • Preparation and collation of year end bank reconciliations.
  • Processing of client bank account related transactions.
  • Operation and maintenance of various software solutions.
  • Timely resolution of clearing and client account queries.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that accounting files and records are kept up to date and in good order.
  • Ongoing review of processes and procedures.
  • Set an example for others by championing the company values, Customer Charter principles and the Code of Business Conduct.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required within the Estates Finance function.
Key Interfaces
  • Estates Finance Department, Service Charge Accounting.
  • Work across Emeria UK, particularly with FirstPort.
  • Client Bank Reconciliation Manager, Head of Treasury Services.
Experience & Skills
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Good team player.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Numerate.
  • Computer literacy (particularly Excel) is essential.
  • Accurate with strong attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or property management-based environment would be an advantage.
  • Use of initiative in problem solving.
  • Flexible approach.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask.
