About Us:

Luo is a fast-growing fintech startup building real-time cross-border payment infrastructure for West Africa. Our platform helps businesses make international payments faster and more affordably. We recently raised $4 million in seed funding from top investors, including the co-founder of Monzo and leading experts in cross-border payments. As we scale, we are expanding our FX and treasury team and are looking for a Treasury Dealer to support our trading operations.

Role Overview:

This is a very exciting and hands-on trading role focused on emerging markets and non-liquid currencies. You will work under the Head of FX & Treasury to manage real-time trading activity, execute deals with partners, and optimize bid-ask spreads. The core challenge--and opportunity--of this role is to help build a fluid and efficient market where liquidity is often limited. You'll work at the heart of our FX operations, driving impact in a fast-moving and high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

FX Dealing:

+ Manage and update bid-ask spreads across currencies in real time.
+ Execute trades with liquidity providers to secure the best available pricing.
+ Monitor FX markets, especially for thinly traded and emerging market currencies.

Trading Support:

+ Support the Head of FX & Treasury in managing positions and exposure.
+ Assist in post-trade coordination with the back office and operations team.
+ Maintain execution discipline across all trades and monitor slippage.

Partner and Customer Interaction:

+ Communicate with liquidity providers to maintain tight execution.
+ Support internal teams with pricing and trade execution for customer deals.
+ Help maintain smooth flow between client-facing and trading operations.

Reporting and Monitoring:

+ Track trading activity and margins daily.
+ Flag anomalies and provide input to improve pricing and execution models.

Qualifications:

Some prior experience in FX dealing, trading, or treasury operations. Ideally, experience working with emerging market currencies or non-liquid FX pairs. Solid grasp of bid-ask mechanics and FX pricing. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail under time pressure. * Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments.
