The Treasury Manager is responsible for understanding, monitoring and managing Liquidity, Interest Rate and FX Risk in Marex Financial and across the wider Group; for maintaining and advancing the Treasury risk frameworks in an environment of continuous business growth; for developing and managing the Treasury Analytics team. You will be a centre of expertise and point of contact for the businesses, able to provide a holistic view of risks and activities, escalating issues as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain the Group\'s liquidity risk framework; including daily monitoring, internal and regulatory stress testing and analytics, proactively driving continuous improvements
  • Develop and maintain analytics, reports and other materials associated with liquidity & funding
  • Coordinate across Control and Support functions; Operations, Finance, Risk and Technology and with the businesses to understand, monitor and manage all key liquidity, interest rate and FX risks in Marex Financial and across the wider Group
o At a business and client level, including setting and implementing appropriate limits, and incentives via internal cost allocations
o At a Legal entity level, including inter-entity funding relationships and liquidity risks
o Monitor liquidity to meet margin calls requirements
o Anticipate and integrate the impacts of new products and/ or businesses
o Maximise returns on invested funds, consistent with liquidity
o Monitor and manage (to a minimum) currency positions at a Group and local level
o Maintain a process to hedge forward foreign (i.e. Non-US dollar) currency requirements
o Liaise with the Finance Regulatory team to monitor capital utilisation in foreign subs and ensure adequate capital is provided to all subs (both UK and foreign)
  • Act as point of contact with Front Office to monitor, understand, and authorise funding requirements
  • Assist the wider Finance and Risk teams in the preparation of FCA key documents and ad hoc requests as required (e.g. ICARA), taking ownership of key sub-sections
  • Support the Treasurer in managing funding requirements/transactions with external counterparties (RCF, sale of forward profits, etc.)
  • Monitor, improve and help keep updated Treasury policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other functions to advance firm-wide projects (e.g. M&A activity)
  • Develop/ enhance reports and presentations to senior management and external stakeholders (e.g. rating agencies)
  • Develop and manage the broader Treasury Analytics team
Skills & Experience:
  • Degree in Finance or Economics or Engineering
  • 7 years or more Treasury or Risk experience in the financial services industry, with specific focus on broker dealer/ derivatives knowledge and experience
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and products
  • In-depth knowledge of liquidity management and an understanding of liquidity regulations and impact to firms
  • Strategic thinker able to anticipate and respond to changing firm priorities
  • Ability to create meaningful reports, metrics and analyses
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as well as be an effective team member
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required with ability to present complex issues succinctly
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently effectively and efficiently
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and effective under pressure
  • Attention to detail, highly numerate and analytical
