We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to perform tree care and maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. As a Tree Surgeon, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and aesthetics of trees while utilising various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Conduct tree inspections to assess health and structural integrity. Perform tree pruning, felling, and removal as required. Maintain landscape areas surrounding trees, ensuring they are tidy and well-kept. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators safely. Implement irrigation systems to support tree health and growth. Carry out routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members on various landscaping projects, including construction tasks when necessary. Provide advice on gardening practices and horticultural techniques to clients.

Skills

Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge for operating machinery and tools effectively. Experience with hand tools and power tools relevant to tree surgery. Familiarity with excavator operation is advantageous. Knowledge of irrigation systems for effective water management. Background in construction may be beneficial for project collaboration. A solid understanding of gardening and horticulture principles is essential. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
