About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Trial Manager to join the Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO). OCTO, part of the University of Oxford's Department of Oncology, is a leader in early cancer detection, precision prevention and therapy trials, delivering ground-breaking clinical research.Each Trial Manager is responsible for 1-3 trials or studies, coordinating activities to successfully deliver trials on-time, on-target and in compliance with applicable policies and legislation. Trial Managers are assigned to trials based on the needs of the portfolio and on the individual's skills, experience and ambitions.You will be responsible for a range of trial management activities, including protocol development, regulatory/ethics submissions, managing study sites, promoting participant recruitment, data management, presenting progress reports, and monitoring.This post is offered full-time, although part-time hours (80% FTE, worked over no fewer than four days a week) may be considered.The post is based in the Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO), Level 2, Cancer & Haematology Centre, Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE, and is offered on a fixed-term contract for two years in the first instance.There will be opportunity for some hybrid office/remote working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.About youYou will have a degree, or other relevant qualification, in a biomedical or associated subject and demonstrable experience in clinical trial management, including working to Good Clinical Practice standards in a clinical research setting and an understanding of techniques for the collection and management of medical research data. You will have proven project management and organisational skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative, problem solve and organise the work of a professional team under management guidance.
