What Makes This Opportunity Unique?



We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Trim Development Apprentice to join our automotive engineering team. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to develop, test, and launch interior trim components--from seats and door panels to dashboard finishes and headliners.



This hands-on apprenticeship will equip you with technical skills, product knowledge, and real-world experience, all while earning nationally recognised qualifications.





What You'll Be Doing:



As a member of the Trim Dev Team, you'll gain hands-on experience, while developing skills that will accelerate your career. You'll:


Support the design, development, and testing of interior trim components. Work with materials such as fabrics, leather, plastics, and foams. Assist in creating prototypes and evaluating product performance. Interpret technical drawings, CAD data, and specifications. Conduct fit, finish, and functional checks on trim parts. Sewing of trim covers Wrapping of parts and assemblies Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams. Help manage timing plans and support new model introductions. Learn how to resolve engineering issues in development and production.

Essential requirements:


Minimum of GCSE grade 4 or C (or an equivalent qualification) in English Language and either Mathematics or a Science subject. An Engineering GCSE would be an advantage. Able to commute to the Gaydon site by personal transport. Able to attend Warwickshire College by own means/personal transport.
