Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, providing vital support to our supply chain operations. Candidates must possess a valid class 2 driver's licence and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Working base Monday to Thursday. Early starts as 4 and 5 am.

Responsibilities

Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles, temperature control box lorries across local and national routes Ensure timely delivery of goods to clients, maintaining high standards of professionalism and courtesy Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly Load and unload cargo with care (by using electric pallet truck), adhering to safety protocols and weight restrictions Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations during each journey Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stock organisation

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, preferably with warehouse experience Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with food delivery is advantageous Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members Ability to manage time efficiently, ensuring deliveries are completed within scheduled windows Familiarity with warehouse procedures and logistics operations is desirable Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and road regulations
