Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage deliveries in a timely manner. Prior experience in delivery driving and warehouse operations is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload goods at warehouses and delivery points, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly Communicate with dispatch and clients professionally regarding delivery schedules and any delays Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Assist with warehouse activities as needed, including inventory management and stock organisation Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards throughout daily operations

Experience

Proven experience as a driving professional specialising in commercial transportation and deliveries Experience with flatbed lorry operation is preferred Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to commercial vehicles Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding loading procedures and inventory handling Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Familiarity with delivery driver protocols and safety regulations in the logistics industry
