Tire Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in using both hand and power tools. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on various vehicles. This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Inspect tyres for wear and damage, ensuring safety standards are met. Remove and replace tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. Balance wheels and perform alignment adjustments as necessary. Repair punctures and other tyre-related issues with precision. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering advice on tyre care and maintenance. Assist in inventory management of tyres and related products.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive repair preferred. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to tyre servicing. Ability to perform heavy lifting, as the role involves handling tyres of various sizes. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
